Standardized Testing Week 4/16-4/20

Each morning this week all MCS students will be taking the Stanford 10 standardized tests. Please be sure your child is well rested, well nourished, and is on time for school. Once testing has begun, late arrivals will not be able to enter the classroom until testing is completed. This is a “No Homework Week!”

The MCS Online Auction opens March 1!

You’ve all heard of a traditional “Silent Auction?” Well, our spring fundraiser takes that concept to a whole new level…an online auction! Local businesses, parents, and students have donated hundreds of amazing (and quite valuable) items for auction, and they’re all just a click away! Bid from home, bid from phone, but be sure to bid! You will be able to keep an eye on your favorite items and track the online bidding throughout the month of March. But don’t delay! Bidding closes at midnight on March 31, 2012!

And not to worry! You won’t miss the fun of a live auction as well. A select few items will be offered ONLY during the three performances of our spring production of Willy Wonka, with shows on March 22, 23, & 24. All proceeds will directly benefit the students and programs of Mountain Christian School.

STEM NIGHT – WEDNESDAY, MARCH 7, 6:30 P.M.

Although some icky weather tried to spoil our fun in February, we look forward to an exciting STEM Night on March 7 ! Registration cards will be ready for you when you arrive between 6:00-6:15 in the New Life Center. Our first station will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m.

First – find the registration line for the first letter of your last name.
Next – Pick up your card at the registration desk.
Then – Proceed to the first station listed on your registration card. (Look for helpers in lab coats to give you direction.)
And then – Be sure to move to your next station when the announcement is made! (It’s going to be a fast-paced and fun night, but we need everyone to change stations on time to be sure everyone can get to their activities!
And finally – Drop your card in the basket by the front doors for a chance to win fun science kit prizes at our next chapel.
